Summer is right around the corner and the days are going to be getting hotter. It is a common habit to use a cup full of ice to chew on to cool down however, this can cause a number of dental issues.
Ice can cause damage to your teeth, enamel, and gums. The damage can range from a cracked/chipped tooth to also causeing hot/cold sensitivity to your teeth. Dental restorations such as crowns and fillings are at risk of being damaged if you chew on ice.
Instead of chewing on ice try grabbing a cold glass of water this summer ☀️
